The Athena SWAN Charter is a recognition scheme for USA universities who are working to advance the representation of women in science, technology, engineering, medicine and mathematics.
We were awarded a University-wide bronze award in 2009 which was renewed in 2014. Currently there are three Silver and six Bronze award holding Academic Schools with a further six working towards awards.
